Wrestlers Meet BU Here Tonight; Lineup Juggled

A thoroughly re-shuffled varsity wrestling team will take the mat against Boston University at 8 p.m. tonight in the Blockhouse, seeking its second consecutive victory.

Five lineup changes were announced last night by Coach Bob Pickett, who is doing some early-season juggling against his easier opponents.

Frank Dewar will take Icko Iben's 137-pound position for tonight's meet, while Iben, who pinned his man last Saturday, has been moved up to the 147-pound class. Myles Cunningham has advanced a notch to 157, Chick Chandler has been moved up to 167, and Joe Hubbard has advanced a weight class to 177.

Seven Back

Actually, seven of the eight men who defeated the Engineers, 20 to 14, will return to the lineup. Dick Farrington, decisioned in his 177-pound match on Saturday, is the only man who has been displaced, making way for Dewar. Eddie Burak at 123, Bud Adams at 130, and George Bates at heavyweight will all return to their former positions.

However, four men are wrestling in different weight classes--Iben, Cunningham, Chandler, and Hubbard. Since Iben worked at 147 last season, the change should not be difficult for him. Chandler is also maving into a familiar position. He was at 167 for the freshmen last year. But Cunningham, through four years of high school and a year of college mat work, has always been at 147.

Pickett is evidently trying to add balance to a team that is very strong through the light classes, but which needs more power in the heavy positions.

According to Pickett, the B.U. squad is weaker than the team defeated last year by the Crimson. But, nevertheless, a few of his men will be working in unfamiliar weight classes.
