His class stood and loudly applauded yesterday morning In New Lecture Hall as ARTHUR N. HOLCOMBE '06, Eaton Professor of the Science of Government, finished his last lecture in Government 1b, which has been taught by him longer than any other major course in the University. Leading members of the faculty were also in the audience, as Holcombe acknowledged the applause with a simple, "I thank you." He gave his lecture without any reference to the ending of his connection with Government 1b, which he has been teaching at Harvard since 1921 and at Radcliffe since 1910.
