The freshman hockey team--highly impressive in-its last few games--will face Rindge Tech in an attempt to continue its winning steak. The game starts at 2 p.m. today in the Boston Arena.
Although the team is not yet in top shape after the vacation layoff, Coach Myles Huntington predicts that the sextet will fare well against Rindge, beaten last week by Malden Catholic. The freshmen whipped Malden Catholic before vacation, 6 to 1.
Huntington will continue to use his two-platoon system. He will start Doug Manchester at center, Scott Coolidge and Eddie Bliss at wings, Ed Mrkonich and Jim Moynahan at defense, and Bob Hathaway in the goal.
In order to get he whole team in shape for the important Belmont Hill match next Monday, Coach Huntington plans to alternate often and let as many players get in the game as possible. On the alternate squad are Bob Marsolais, team captain, who has seen less action because of sickness, at center; Frank Mahoney and Bob Pratt, wings; Ed Almy and George Buehler, defense; and George Kolouson, in the goal.
