Arthur D. Trottenberg, Operating Manager of the Houses and College dormitories, yesterday spiked rumors of a possible change in University maid service, declaring "The present five-times weekly service will continue for the entire year."

Rumors of a change developed when Columbia University last week dropped its five-day service in favor of a once a week plan. Columbia officials blamed a wage increase for the curtailment of service.

Trottenberg indicated that University officials have not even considered a cutdown and that present contracts would make it virtually impossible.
