NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Brown University clamped down on fraternity activities yesterday following the riot last Saturday night.

President Henry M. Wriston spoke to 17 fraternity officers and announced the following rules: There are to be no college social functions this week-end, no fraternity initiations will be permitted for the rest of the school year, and officers have until tomorrow to show "cause" why the traditional spring week-end should be held. Wriston also said severe disciplinary action will be taken against individuals involved in last week's riot.
