Crimson skiers finished sixth out of seven teams, ahead of Yale, in the Williams Winter Carnival over the weekend.

Harry Gardner made the Crimson's best showing by capturing 12th in the slalom and 14th in the slalom and downhill combined.

Dartmouth triumphed with a final point total of 593.3 and Middlebury was second with 586.2. Harvard's sixth place point total of 483.1 was 80 points ahead of Yale, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Williams filled the other spots.

Five men besides Gardner competed for the Crimson on the Mount Greylock course. Johan Andreson, Ernest Dane, Chris Ingram, Hans Vitzthum, and Bill Wilson also made the trip.

A week ago, the varsity took second place behind Bowdoin in the Class B Championships at Lyndonville. The win earned the team the right to compete in the Senior Division with Dartmouth and Middlebury.

Next Saturday, the skiers enter the Middlebury Winter Carnival, with the Senior Division Championship at stake.
