Thieves Make Off With $75 From Five Kirkland Rooms

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Unidentified thieves broke into four entries of Kirkland House early Sunday morning, and rifled five rooms with unlocked doors. They escaped with slightly over $75 dollars in cash. No cloths or personal belongings were touched.

The robbers must have entered the building after 4 a.m. Sunday, according to superintendent J. J. Monteith, because some of the boys had not returned to their rooms before that time. The first theft was discovered at about 10 a.m.

University Police had no leads last night. Monteith said it was the first robbery in Kirkland House in the four years he has been there.
