Dartmouth Game Away Next Year

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

For the third time in the 78-year series, the varsity football team will play Dartmouth at Hanover next year, Thomas D. Bolles, Director of Athletics, announced yesterday.

Playing at Dartmouth as well as at Yale and Columbia leaves the varsity with only five home games, the fewest in any year since 1948. The trips to Columbia and Hanover come on successive weeks.

Bolles also confirmed earlier reports that Bucknell will replace Ohio University as a mid-season opponent. Next year's game will be the first between the two schools.

Besides Bucknell, the only other non-Ivy League team on the schedule is the University of Massachusetts, which will open the season at the Stadium for the second straight year.

The schedule:

Oct. 1, Massachusetts; 8, Cornell; 15, at Columbia; 22, at Dartmouth; 29, Bucknell; Nov. 5, Princeton; 12, Brown; 19, at Yale.
