Students Offered Polio, Flu Shots

Polio and flu vaccinations will be administered to students and faculty at 15 Holyoke St. throughout the rest of the term, Dr. Orrin Levin announced yesterday. Polio inoculations will be given Mondays and Tuesday, 2-3 p.m. and Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10-11 a.m. Flu vaccinations will be administered daily, 9-11 a.m. and 1:30-3:30 p.m.

To guard against polio, a three-inoculation series is necessary and "should be started as soon as possible." Dr. Levin pointed out that a fourth inoculation may be needed for full protection by students who completed the series over a year ago.

Dr. Levin emphasized that the University Health Services has adequate supplies of both vaccines on hand.

Vaccines are also available at the Radcliffe Health Center, the Law School Infirmary, and the Employees Clinic.
