HARVARD POLICE BREAK UP SNOWBALL FIGHT IN YARD

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

University police seized the bursar's cards of some 20 students involved in a free-for-all snowball fight in the north Yard late last night.

The police arrived on the scene at 11:15 p.m., after the battle had been raging for some 15 minutes. After a few desultory snowballs were aimed at the police cars, the freshmen scattered for their dorms. Loud-speakers blared warning to "clear the area, dammit."

"Happens just about every year," said one policeman, wiping a white patch off his coat. "Only thing new is the snow-balls."
