To the Editors of the Crimson:
I wish to take the opportunity to thank the Crimson for its generally astute and balanced presentation of the upcoming Cambridge municipal election.
Although there were a few perhaps inevitable errors in the presentation, there was one error which I feel compelled to correct. My position on the relationship between the University and the City was unfortunately inverted in the article, which stated that I prefer a financial contribution to an applied intellectual contribution.
I have long held that the City of Cambridge could benefit greatly from the proper harnessing of the enormous intellectual resources of its universities (which the present City administration is ignoring.) I also recognize that the universities have their own financial problems. --Jerry R. Cole '64
