BAND ON ICE

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Harvard University Band scored one of the major upsets of the ice hockey season Saturday as the Crimson musicians-turned-icemen thrashed the heavily favored band from Brown University, 3-1.

It was the first time that the band had beaten the Bruins in four years. The Bruins are a skating band who pride themselves in the fact that they perform their shows on the ice between the period of the varsity hockey team's games.

Their ability to skate and play at the same time did them no good against the Harvard squad, however, as Crimson goalie Al Bozer shut the door, making many fine saves while being beaten only once.

A Watson Rink-rematch is planned for Wednesday at 9:30 p.m.
