An assistant director at the City Manager's Office department of personell, who asked not to be identified, said that the Office of Personnel is currently in the process of selecting a new police commissioner.

According to the assistant director, both a citizen pannel and a professional pannel will be used to make the selection of a new commisioner to replace the outgoing commissioner who has retired.
