Trees Don't Bite

Letter

By Rylan M. Hamilton

To the editors:

In response to the recent Christmas Tree bashings, I wonder if those same people would also like to remove all symbols from Harvard Campus? Is Memorial Church acceptable, or does it “establish religion” on Harvard’s campus? Should we ban pumpkins from our dining halls in October?

Harvard has always been receptive to many different customs and traditions, Christmas included. And if you do not celebrate Christmas or appreciate all it has come to represent, then ignore it. A reminder to all the Grinches out there: Christmas Trees don’t bite!
