Women’s Ice Hockey Preserves Its Undefeated Conference Record in Pair of Victories

The Union Dutchwomen and Rensselaer (RPI) Engineers have struggled in league play, yet both teams managed to start strong against Harvard in last weekend’s ECAC matchups. Nonetheless, the Crimson eventually cruised to a 7-2 victory over the Dutchwomen, thanks to a five-goal second-period explosion, and outlasted the Engineers 3-0, methodically putting up one goal in each frame.

Women's Ice Hockey Drops ECAC Quarterfinal Series to No. 9/9 Colgate

Entering this weekend, No. 9/9 Colgate had never lost a playoff series to Harvard in the ECAC tournament. After a 5-2 domination of the Raiders (23-9-5, 17-4-3 ECAC) on Friday, 2019 looked like the year for the Crimson (12-15-5, 9-9-4) to write a new trend into the history books. Colgate never looked back, though, after an all-Raiders final part of the first, and Harvard’s 2018-19 campaign came to a close.
