On Sunday afternoon, students gathered in Tercentenary Theater for the College Events Board’s annual outdoor music festival Yardfest. The College made a series of changes to the event this year, including moving it from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon and instituting no-guest and no-re-entry policies.

Yardfest Returns to Sunday Afternoon With Ban on Guests, Re-Entry

College students will not be allowed to bring guests to this year’s Yardfest — a spring music festival held annually in Harvard Yard — according to an email sent to undergraduates Monday by the Dean of Students Office.

After Cambridge police officers forcibly arrested a black undergraduate in mid-April, students and administrators spoke out against the officers' actions, and the University put together a task force to examine what went wrong the night of the arrest.

Spring Weather for Yardfest

Students enjoy the balmy weather Friday afternoon during Yardfest. Food and drinks were provided at the event and many students ate outside on the steps of Widener Library.
