LAST HARD PRACTICE.

The 'Varsity Plays the '99 and the B. A. A. Elevens in Succession.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The last hard practice of the 'varsity eleven took place yesterday afternoon. First the team played ninety-nine. The freshmen put up a plucky game. The 'varsity scored several times but this did not dishearten the freshmen, who played as hard as they could while the play lasted.

The line-up was:

'VARSITY. FRESHMEN.

Cabot, l.e. r.e, Johnson.

Rice, l.t. r.t., Sargent.

Holt, l.g. r.g., Jaffray.

F. Shaw, c. c. Fairbank.

N. Shaw, r.g. l.g., Lloyd.

Stevenson, r.t. l.t., Holden.

Newell, r.e. l.e., Richardson.

Beale, q.b. q.b., Farley.

Wrightington, l.h.b. r.h.b., Adams.

Brown, r.h.b. l.h.b., Dayton.

Hayes, f.b. f.b., Dibblee.

After the game with the freshmen the 'varsity lined up against the B. A. A. Cabot did not continue playing, Moulton taking his place at end. Owing to the muddy condition of the field the playing was not very snappy. Both sides made one touchdown, B. A. A.'s being on a fluke.

The line-up was:

HARVARD. B. A. A.

Moulton, l.e. r.e., Butler.

Rice, l.t. r.t., R. Waters, Ware.

Holt, l.g. r.g., Wilson.

F. Shaw, c. c., Russell.

N. Shaw, r.g. l.g., Vogel

Stevenson, r.t. l.t., Gould.

Newell, r.e. l.e., Fay.

Beale, q.b. q.b., Graham, Smith

Wrightington, l.h.b. r.h.b., Harton.

Brown, r.h.b. l.h.b., Curtis.

Hayes, f.b. f.b., B. Waters

Haughton, it was said yesterday, has dislocated his collar bone and will not be able to play at right tackle. Who will play there is still uncertain, as Donald's condition has not changed much.

C. Brewer was out exercising, but he did not play. Dunlop, too, had a rest, and Cabot only played one game.

Today the eleven will have only light practice, and tomorrow there will be no practice at all.
