Under the auspices of the French Department, Mr. Robert Dupouey of the Ecole Normale, Paris, who, as announced in another article, has recently been appointed to the Fellowship of the Cercle Francais de l'Universite Harvard, will give the first of four public readings in French from the works of Victor Hugo, this evening at 8, in Sever 11. The reading will comprise: Aymerillot, from "La Legende des Siecles;" Quasimodo sonnant les cloches, from "Notre-Dame de Paris;" and les Djinus, from "Les Orientaries."

The second reading will be given Friday.
