HUPD Chief Says Harvard Yard Encampment is Peaceful, Defends Students’ Right to Protest
The first meeting of the newly formed Extempore Debating Club will be held this evening at 7.30 o'clock in Room 8 of the Union. At this meeting the new name, suggested by the executive committee, will be passed upon by the club, together with other preliminary business. A debate will be held upon the following question: "Resolved, That students of the graduate and professional schools should be excluded from Yard dormitories." E. B. Stillman '06 and B. E. Ester '07 will support the affirmative; J. T. Moss '08 and R. H. Hall '07 will support the negative. W. E. Burton '07 will act as chairman.
It is hoped that all upperclassmen interested in the promotion of extemporaneous speaking will attend this meeting.
