HUPD Chief Says Harvard Yard Encampment is Peaceful, Defends Students’ Right to Protest
Mr. Charles James Hughes, Jr., LL.D., will deliver the first of a series of seven lectures on "The Law of Mining and Irrigation" this afternoon from 3 to 5 o'clock in the East Room of Austin Hall.
During the year 1902-03 Mr. Hughes was lecturer on mining law in the Law School, and is at present professor of the same subject in the Denver Law School. He is a member of the American Bar Association, of the American Institute of Mining Engineers and of the Board of Capitol Commissioners which built the Colorado State Capitol.
The next lecture will be given tomorrow from 3 to 5 o'clock in the same place.
The course will be open to students in the Law and Scientific Schools.
