Seniors Lost to Juniors in Baseball

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Junior baseball team easily defeated the Seniors in the second game of the interclass series played yesterday afternoon, by the score of 11 to 1. The game scheduled to be played between the Juniors and Sophomores, was not played through a misunderstanding. It is probable that a game will be arranged for some day next week, to decide the championship.

At no time during the game yesterday were the Juniors in any danger of being defeated. Most of their runs were the direct result of the errors of the Seniors, and in only the inning did they result from hitting. The features of the game consisted of a remarkable stop by McCarthy of a hard liner, the batting of Bird, who made four hits out of four times at bat, and the excellent playing of Osborne. Greene's pitching was weak, and he retired in the sixth inning in favor of Hall. The score by innings: Innings,  1  2  3  4  5  6  7  8  9 Juniors,  1  1  0  2  4  0  3  0  x--11 Seniors,  0  0  0  1  0  0  0  0  0--1
