Mr. Arthur Woods '92 will speak on "Police and Detective Forces in New York City" in the Living Room of the Union this evening at 8 o'clock. The lecture will be open only to members of the Union.
Mr. Woods was graduated from Harvard in 1892 and then spent a year at the University of Berlin. Upon his return he devoted himself to post-graduate work in chemistry in the University. After teaching at Groton School for a short while, he undertook newspaper work in New York. At present Mr. Woods is a deputy commissioner of police in that city and has been put in charge of the detective work.
