Rembrandt Drawing in Fogg Museum

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Fogg Art Museum has purchased "Joseph in the Carpenter's Shop," a small drawing in brown wash by Rembrandt. This drawing, which is an excellent example of the work of the great Dutch master, formed part of the collection of Lord Warwick. It has been placed on exhibition in the printroom of the Museum, together with a selection of Rembrandt's etchings, which illustrate his work in dry point, and show his treatment of portrait, landscape, and figure subjects.

The loan exhibition of paintings has been lately increased. Mr. Edwin S. Webster lends "Madonna and Child," by Francesco Francis, and also a portrait of a young woman by Palma Giovanne, a late master of the Venetian School.
