The first practice for the University and Freshman lacrosse teams was held on Soldiers Field yesterday. Nine-men reported but more men, especially Freshmen, should come out. It is desired that a large number of 1916 men take part in this fall work, in order that they may be well grounded in the rudiments before the spring season begins. All candidates should report dressed to play this afternoon at 4 o'clock.

Strict training for the University team will not be kept until spring, but this fall practice is very important. The men who reported yesterday were as follows: R. Beatley '13, H. W. Birch '14, P. F.
