Meeting of Diplomatic Club

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Diplomatic Club will hold its first meeting of the year in Matthews 37 tomorrow night at 8 o'clock. Students in any department of the University who are especially interested in the diplomatic or consular service are asked to consult W. B. Elliott, Littles '25, president of the club, or B. H. Knollenberg 1L., Matthews 37, secretary, before the meeting.

During its first year of existence, the Diplomatic Club, which is the only organization of its kind in the United States, succeeded in bringing together for informal discussions all the men interested in international affairs. The strength of the departments of government and international law in the University has attracted here many men preparing for service under the State Department, and the activities of the club aim to supplement the work of the Faculty. All members of the club who last year took the government examinations passed successfully, and will probably soon be appointed to responsible positions in the diplomatic and consular service.
