NEW YORK CONCERT PROHIBITED

The combined musical clubs of the University will not be permitted to play in a joint concert with the musical organizations of Yale and Princeton for the benefit of the Armenian and Syrian Relief Fund, was the decision reached yesterday afternoon by the Administrative Board of the University. The proposed concert would have been held in New York on the evening of Tuesday, January 15. The Metropolitan Opera House had already been engaged for the occasion.

The tentative plans for the musicale were in the hands of the American Committee for Syrian Relief. The proposal that the triangular concert be held originated with this committee. All expenses connected with traveling to New York and presenting the entertainment were to have been paid by this committee. The musical clubs at Yale and Princeton had already agreed to take part in the concert.

The next public concert of the University Clubs is scheduled for Friday afternoon at the Harvard Club in Boston.
