MARINE CORPS WANTS AVIATORS

Age Limit Fixed at 20; College Education Valuable.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In a statement recently issued from headquarters in Washington, the United State Marine Corps offers an opportunity to a limited number of picked men to enrol in a training course for aviators. It is desired that the men be the best of available material, sound in body and between 20 and 30 years of age. Educational qualifications will be given special consideration, as it will be necessary for accepted applicants to pass a ten-weeks' course in a ground school before going to a flying field. During training they will rank with Naval Cadets and have the rating and pay of gunnery sergeants.

The Marine Flying Force operates in conjunction with the Navy, but it flies only land machines at this time and no change to seaplanes is anticipated. A small number of application blanks, and further details about enrollment, may be obtained at the CRIMSON Office, or by mail from Major-General Commandant, U. S. Marine Headquarters, Washington, D. C.
