Red Top, Conn., June 16.--The University crew was put through an easy practice today, the oarsmen merely paddling with special attention to form. The members of the crew are rowing as a unit and every man is in the best of physical condition.
The second boat was reinforced by its captain today, as G. L. Batchelder '19 returned last night with his injured knee entirely recovered. He rowed at his old position at number four in the second, which lost a short brush to the Freshman shell in both morning and afternoon practice.
Francis Lee Higginson '00 of the rowing committee arrived at Red Top today. Although no decision concerning the proposed change in the course has yet been made by the officials of the railroad and the rowing committee, it is expected that the question will be decided in plenty of time before the races on Friday.
