TEAM "B" SCORES LONE TOUCHDOWN ON FORWARD PASS

Corresponding to a similar movement by "Tad" Jones of Yale, Coach Fisher seems to be determined that during this week his second string men shall reach the acme of development. He also realizes only too well that some of his regulars are apt to be laid out in the Princeton game, and that he may have to play men on team "B" against Yale and in any case against Brown.

Long Kicking Session

Following a long dummy scrimmage between team "A" and the second team, a short kicking duel between Owen, Fitts, Humphrey and Churchill, in which all of these men were encouragingly successful in getting off long punts, some of them well over fifty yards. This completed the day's workout for team "A" with the exception of Horween and Sedgwick, who played on team "B" during its scrimmage with the black-jerseyed eleven.

This scrimmage while it lasted only a half hour was exceptionally hard fought and only by a clever forward pass from Johnson to Chapin which went for a thirty yard gain and the single touchdown of the game, were they able to score. For nearly fifteen minutes the play raged back and forth, for a while in favor of the second team, and then after losing the ball on downs, turning to the advantage of team "B". During the afternoon, Stillman showed his ability as a punter by gaining on every exchange of kicks. Although the varsity coaching staff seemed satisfied with the showing made by team "B", they will probably continue to further develop these men by giving them individual instruction the rest of the week.

Horween Passes a Few

The feature of the afternoon was the appearance of Sedgwick at tackle and Captain Horween at center of team "B". In the case of the former, this probably indicates that Coach Fisher is doing his best to recondition the tackle who has been out such a long time with o neck. In the case of the latter, that Fisher may use him at center, a position which he played so well last year, should Havemeyer be laid out. In other words, he thinks that his line would be stronger with Horween playing center and Hamilton or Gratwick at fullback, than it would if Tierney or Kunhardt should be put in at center.

The line-up of team "B" was as follows: Selden and Finley, ends; Sedgwick and Lockwood, tackles; Brown and Holmes, guards; Horween, center; Chapin and Rouillard, halfbacks; Johnson, quarterback; and Stillman, fullback.

The Princeton team will probably arrive in Boston Friday afternoon at 3.30 and hold a light practice in the Stadium Saturday morning. After the game, they are scheduled to leave immediately for Princeton where they will devote the next week to intensive training for the Yale game.
