HUPD Chief Says Harvard Yard Encampment is Peaceful, Defends Students’ Right to Protest
The Discussion Group Leaders Training Institute of the Students' Department of the Y. M. C. A. will hold a conference in Phillips Brooks House beginning tonight and ending Sunday afternoon. About thirty delegates are expected for the conference, coming from various New England colleges. Those coming from outside Boston will be accommodated in the Senior Dormitories.
The program for this evening is as follows:
7.30--Devotional Address by David R. Porter, Secretary of the Students' Branch of the Y. M. C. A.
8--9.30--Discussion: "Why Bible Study Succeeds and Fails."
9.30--10--Address: "The Place of the Bible in a Man's Life."
These meetings and those which will follow on Saturday and Sunday are open to all members of the University who wish to attend.
