FRESHMAN FIVE MEETS TUFTS

CAPTAIN GORDON MAY NOT PLAY

This evening at 8 o'clock the University Freshmen will meet the Tufts 1924 five at Goddard Gymnasium, Medford. Although rather slow against Andover last week, the yearling quintet has been doing very well in the light scrimmages this week, and it is expected that the men will be in top notch form for this evening's game. It is possible that Captain Gordon will be unable to play, as he suffered a wrenched ankle in last Saturday's game, but he has not been in the scrimmages this week, and it is hoped that he will be in shape tonight. If he is not in the line-up, John Wasserman, a small but fast forward who has been doing good work as a substitute, will take his place, and the rest of the line-up will be as usual.

At the beginning of the light practice held yesterday afternoon. Coach Wachter gave the team a short talk, showing them some of the individual mistakes of the players, and emphasizing more careful observance of the rules. After this there was a short signal drill, and the men were sent to the showers.

The Tufts yearlings have a strong team, and the Crimson Freshmen will be at a disadvantage on a strange floor, so that a close game is expected. The Medford lads have had an even break in their games thus far, defeating M. I. T. freshmen and New Hampshire State 1924, but losing to the Cushing Academy team.
