The Freshman baseball team continued its series of victories yesterday by defeating the St. Mark's School nine 5 to 3 on the latter's diamond in a well-played seven-inning game. Just as in the Goddard contest, it was the yearlings' ability to bunch their hits in the opening inning which gave them a safe lead and ultimate victory.

Herrmann allowed St. Mark's only five hits although two of them netted three bases each. He struck out seven men and passed only one.

The line-ups follow:

Freshmen.--Hodder, 3b.; Hoffman, r.f.; Hammond, 2b.; Doherty, c.f.; Samborski, c.; Kerr, 1b.; Burgess, l.f.; Mann, s.s.; Herrmann, p.

St. Mark's.--Caulkins, 2b.; Crawford, s.s.; Moseley, 3b.; de Rham, r.f.; Burton, c.f.; Winthrop, c.; Hamlen, l.f.; Knapp, p.; Wadsworth, 1b.
