LACROSSE SQUAD ON TRIP

Fifteen Players Leave Tonight to Face Cornell Tomorrow--Game With Hobart College on Saturday

The University lacrosse squad, for which Coach Catton has named 15 men, will leave the South Station this evening for a three days' trip. After changing at Syracuse, the squad will go on to Ithaca tomorrow morning where the team will meet Cornell in the afternoon. On Saturday, it will engage Hobart, at Geneva, N. Y. Both of these are games in the Intercollegiate Lacrosse League series.

A comparison of the relative strength of these three teams can be made from the fact that Hobart defeated the Oxford-Cambridge team by the score of 8 to 3, while Syracuse lost, 5 to 2. The Hobart aggregation is reported to be one of the best collegiate teams in the country. Last year, it was runner-up to Syracuse for the championship of the League. This year, Hobart has a great many veterans from last year's team, and is considered a probable contender for the championship.

Syracuse, although defeated by the English stick-men, 5 to 2, has a very powerful team, with many good men, among whom are Cleary on the attack, and Paine and Knauss on the defense.

Good work on the trip is expected of Francis Rouillard '23 and C. A. Tierney '22, on the defense, and from D. H. Treanor 3E.S., on the attack.

After an eight-week competition, Julian Brody '24, of Des Moines, Ia., has been appointed second assistant manager. This appointment is subject to the approval of the Student Council and the Athletic Committee.
