NET-MEN WILL OPPOSE WILLIAMS AT LONGWOOD

Visitors Lost to M. I. T. Yesterday 5-1--Lack of Practice May Hinder University--Probably No Second-Team Match With Andover

Today's tennis match with Williams College, scheduled for the Divinity courts, will be held this afternoon on the Long-wood covered courts. The Williams players are not considered to be as strong as last year's team and they suffered a severe defeat at the hands of M. I. T. yesterday, winning only one of the six matches played. It must be remembered in this connection, however, that the match was held indoors on the Long wood courts and the strange lighting and unfamiliar conditions undoubtedly burdened the Williams players with a severe handicap while the experience gave them some valuable practice for today's contest.

The University players have not been able to hold practice during the latter part of this week due to the weather conditions and this lack of training may be reflected in today's playing.

Although the second team match with Andover today has not been definitely cancelled, there is practically no chance that the courts will be in condition after the hard rain of the past two days, and no arrangements for the trip have been made.

The following men will take part in the University match:

Harvard.--Singles: 1, Duane; 2, Pfaffman; 3, Guild; 4, Bradley. Doubles: 1, Duane and Pfaffman; 2, Bradley and Holmes.

Williams.--Singles: 1, Rowse; 2, Prescott; 3, Cook; 4, Ewing. Doubles; 1, Rowse and Prescott; 2, Cook and Ewing.
