1926 TO MEET DEAN QUINTET

Academy Players Have Strong Attack but Lack Power in Defense--Both Teams Have Good Records

The Freshman basketball team will encounter one of its most difficult opponents of the season when it faces the strong Dean Academy quintet at 4 o'clock this afternoon in the Freshman Athletic Building.

Both teams have good records, although the academy men have a slightly lower percentage in games won and lost and have played more games than the Crimson. Dean's record includes victories over the M. I. T. Freshmen by 42-30 and the Fordham Freshman 24-13. The schoolboys were, however, defeated by the Yale Freshmen 23-15, and so this afternoon's contest may throw light on the Crimson's chances against the Blue.

The visitors' strength lies chiefly in their attack which centers about Swanbes at right forward. Defensively, the team is rather weak, since the coach has stressed principally a well-defined attack.

Coach Chase gave his men a rest the end of last week but has held stiff scrimmages for the last three days in an effort to put them in condition once more. The line-up remains the same a it was in the game with New Hampshire State Freshman, but Combs is likely to be substituted at right guard for Elberfeld.
