HUPD Chief Says Harvard Yard Encampment is Peaceful, Defends Students’ Right to Protest
If Harvard men did not have the satisfaction of celebrating a Crimson victory Saturday, they did have the pleasure of watching a remarkable Princeton team. Its dash, its power, its pluck warmed the heart of every true enthusiast. The result was all the more unusual in that the New Jersey warriors were consigned to mediocrity by the "men in the street." One more proof of indomitable Tiger courage is set down in the Book of the Past, and it is to that spirit that Harvard pays deference.
Should the score ever be forgotten by newer generations, one memory will always persist: the chivalrous manner in which the Princeton men expressed their joy. Their regard for the shattered hopes of thousands of Crimson supporters will do more than any other single event of the past few years to cement the growing friendliness between the two universities.
