HARVARD HAS SEVEN OF 32 NATIONAL ACADEMY MEMBERS

Appointment of Prof. Lamb Increases Honors Held by University

Seven of the 32 chemists who are members of the National Academy of Sciences are also members of the Harvard faculty, since the appointment of Professor Arthur B. Lamb, G. '03, director of the University chemical laboratories, announced yesterday.

Among other Harvard chemistry professors who have received high recognition is Professor Richards, who with Professor Baxter and others, established and developed the "Harvard methods" of almost mathematically fine determinations, so-called both in Europe and America, which won for Professor Richards the Nobel prize in chemistry.
