HUPD Chief Says Harvard Yard Encampment is Peaceful, Defends Students’ Right to Protest
Preparations have been completed for the Phillips Brooks House Class Day Spread it was announced yesterday at the offices of the Association. The annual entertainment in the quadrangle back of Stoughton Hall will take place June 18 from 5.30 to 7 o'clock.
The sponsors of the Spread, as announced yesterday, will be C. L. Allen '29, James DeNormandie '29, A. H. Harlow '29, R. S. Holden '29, J. DeW. Bubbard '29, Gordon Huggins '29, E. W. Sexton '29, P. J. Sullivan '29, and R. G. West '29. Arrangements have been made by a committee headed by J. W. Fleming '30.
Accommodation has been prepared for approximately 400 people, the number that attended the affair last year, while additional arrangements will be made as the demand warrants. In case of rain the Brooks House itself will become the scene of activity. The House will be open to the convenience of the guesis during the entire day.
