The University golf team will begin informal fall practice at the Belmont Country Club sometime next week, it was announced last night by J. M. Cole '32, manager of the team. Coach Boat Ncoll will meet candidates to look over prospects for the coming season and to get a line on the players sent up from last year's Freshman team.

Last spring was the first time that the golf team had a coach. At that time, Nicoll, the professional at Belmont, was engaged to coach the players. Since this is also the first time fall practice has been held, it will be in the nature of an experiment and very informal. About 10 or fifteen candidate are expected to report, and practice will be hold twice a week at Belmont. There will be no competition this fall.

Prospects for this year's team are none too good, according to C. S. Eaton '32, captain of the team, as four mainstays of last year's team have been lost by graduation. Besides Eaton, R. L. Kimbrough '33 will be the only man to report who received a letter last year.
