RUSSIAN BELL WILL SOUND FROM BAKER LIBRARY TOWER

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

During the Spring vacation the Russian bell originally intended for the Lowell House Tower and which on arrival proved to be out of tune with the rest of the matched set of 18 was transported to the Business School, where it is now in process of installation in the lower of the Baker Memorial Library. When the installation is completed the new Russian bell will replace the old one which formerly was heard on the hour and half-hour across the Charles. The old bell, however, will not be removed from the tower, however, according to officials of the School, since there is no feasible means of doing so, and the bell is not needed elsewhere in the University.
