HUPD Chief Says Harvard Yard Encampment is Peaceful, Defends Students’ Right to Protest
Eric Arthur Walker '32, of Philadelphia, Pa., has been elected president of the Harvard Engineering School chapter of Tau Beta Pi for the year 1931-32, it was announced last night. At the same time three other officers were made known, vice-president, Joseph Michels Keller '32, of New York City; secretary, Charles Noble Mason, Jr., '32, of Cohasset; and H. E. Clifford '89, dean of the Engineering School, was re-elected to the advisory board.
Tau Beta Pi is the national engineering honor society corresponding to Phi Beta Kappa. The above officers were elected after they had successfully completed an examination lasting 48 hours, and had written a thesis on a designated subject.
