LACROSSE SQUAD, WITH LETTER MEN AVAILABLE, SHOWING MUCH PROMISE

SCHEDULE OF CONTEST ENABLES MEN TO GET INTO SHAPE

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Although the outdoor practice for lacrosse will not begin until the middle of March, the 30 men who have repented for the University team show promise of developing into championship material in the indoor workouts.

Among the lettermen who have returned are: C. E. Angle '33, R. M. Lowman '32, H. M. Myerson '32, W. I. Tucker '33, and W. W. Watt '32. N. N. Cochrane '32, who was awarded the Morgan Cup as the best all round lacrosse player, is captain of the team. More members of last year's aggregation, including L. M. Hurvich '32 and G. H. Pattison '32, are expected to come out as soon as the informal practice ends. The team is fast but small, and needs defense men. The fundamentals of the game can easily be mastered in three or four weeks and no previous experience is necessary.

The schedule is fairly easy and by the first meet with M. I. T. the University team should be in excellent condition. Madison Sayles '27 is coaching the team, assisted by Robert Pool of St. John's College, Annapolis, who was appointed last autumn.

The schedule given out by Manager R. G. Snider '32 is as follows: Friday, April 1, M. I. T.; Saturday, April 16, open; Saturday, April 23, Pennsylvania; Saturday, April 30, Dartmouth at Hanover; Saturday, May 7, Williams; Wednesday, May 11, Brown at Providence; Saturday, May 14, Navy at Annapolis; Saturday, May 21, Yale. A spring trip to Stevens has been planned for the post-Easter vacation. If the University twelve remains undefeated they will journey to Baltimore where there will be competitions to select two teams to represent the United States in the Olympic Games at Los Angeles this summer.
