WHITEMAN TO PLAY PIECE BY HARVARD GRADUATE SUNDAY

When Paul Whiteman and his orchestra play at Symphony Hall this Sunday, the audience will hear a suito of distinctly modern background and original theme, composed by John Walde Green '28.

The composition, called by the author "Night Club," Is divided into six different parts, but throughout the whole work runs a description of a night in a modern speakeasy, from the setting of tables till the early morning finale.

The composer was the founder of the present Gold Coast Orchestra at Harvard. Since leaving college, he has written several song hits, including "Body and Soul," and "I'm Yours." At present he is engaged in writing musical interpretations of poetry.
