More than 250 persons used Widener Library between six and ten o'clock Monday evening when the new hours went into effect, it was estimated yesterday by Robert P. Blake '12, Director of the College Library. No figures exist for the total number of users, but hourly counts were made in the Main Reading Room and the signatures of those entering the stacks were recorded.
At six o'clock there were thirty-nine in the reading room; at seven o'clock, twenty-nine; at eight o'clock, sixty-four; at nine o'clock, fifty-six and at nine forty-five, there were thirty-five. Forty-two persons signed to enter the stacks.
