Harvard's trackmen took the first point-scored meet of their season when they chalked up 36 points at the University Club Meet on Saturday, trimming their nearest competitor by more than ten points.

The afternoon's weight events and broad jump added little to the Crimson total. Cahners' ineligibility left the Farrellmen scoreless in the 35-pound weight throw, and Schumann scored only one point with his fifth place in the shot put. Loss of Green weakened Harvard's chances in the broad jump in which Calvin scored two points for fourth.

The events at the Garden were more successful. Dubiel and Schumann tied for first in the pole vault and Cook added 2 1/2 more points with his tie for third.

Scheu's victory in the mile set a new meet record of 4.25 1-5, with Playfair fourth and Woodward fifth. Dick Hayes minus his running mate Green, in the hurdles, took a second place for four points. Gilligan was second, and fourth in the 50-yard dash, with Donner just behind.

Bliss' second place in the half, and the relay team's fourth in the mile completed the point scoring. The Freshman relay team won on Furse's sprint in the last lap.
