PREP SCHOOL MERMEN SWIM HERE TOMORROW

Nineteen prep and high schools of New England have entered 164 crack swimmers for the Third Annual Harvard Interscholastic Swimming Meet, which will be held tomorrow afternoon and evening in the pool at the Indoor Athletic Building.

The teams in the prep school class will compete for a leg on the Harvard Interscholastic Swimming Championship Cup, donated by Arthur W. Stevens '97 and given permanently to the school which wins it five times. Andover has won the trophy for two successive years and will battle Exeter for the leg on it tomorrow. Although Huntington School has been runner-up both years in this class, it was defeated last week-end 54-14 by Exeter, which has an exceptionally strong team and which is expected to battle Andover for team honors.

Exeter is well represented in the 50-yard free style by Carter, and in the breast stroke by Pach, who established a new record for his school last Saturday. Paul Metcalf, Jr. of Andover, who made a new scholastic meet record of 1m. 10 6-10 seconds in the 100-yard breast stroke a year ago, is the only 1936 meet winner back this year.

J. J. Prymak of Huntington School, B. Davidson of Tome School, and Cooper of Moses Brown School, will compete in the 100-yard back stroke. In the 220-yard free style, Seth Heywood, Jr., of Andover and A. Greenhood of Exeter will strive for victory, as will Frank Schofield, Jr., of Moses Brown in the 100-yard free style. K. Twining of St. Gorge's will probably find T. H. Mahoney of Andover his strongest rival in the diving contest.

Considered the outstanding scholastic back stroke in the country, Harold Stanhope, who last year won the 100-yard back stroke and 220-yard free style for LaSalle School, will swim for Warwick High School this year. Gardner High, the favorite to win the Harvard Athletic Association Placque in the High School meet, has been runner-up for the last two years.

The trial events in both meets will start at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, and the finals will be run off at 8 o'clock in the evening
