As a result of remodeling done by the Maintenance Department of the University, the space formerly occupied by the barber shop in the Union basement has now been turned into a darkroom for the use of Freshman Photo Group members.

The darkroom, which has been available since February 10, contains an enlarger and chemicals and facilities for printing and developing. The Photo Group will add additional equipment from time to time, according to Elbert P. Little '34, instructor of Physics and faculty adviser of the club.

Masao Yatsuhashi, of Brookline, was named president of the club in an election held during the mid-years. Other officers chosen were Robert S. Hoyt, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, vice-president; and Frederick W. Coe, of Bethesda, Maryland, secretary.

The Group plans to take representative pictures of the various Freshman activities during the rest of the year in addition to having guest speakers at meetings.
