100 CHILDREN GO TO VIRGINIA GAME

Phillips Brooks House Will Have to Provide One Monitor for Every Ten Children

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Edmund LaB. Cherbonnier, President of Phillips Brooks House, announced last night that under the supervision of Phillips Brooks House 100 settlement children will be allowed to see the Virginia football game this Saturday free.

This movement is the recommence-ment of a policy in practice some years ago when children were admitted free on Saturdays for games at which a low ticket sale was expected. At that time, however, the children were so unruly that the Athletic Association was forced to discontinue the benefaction.

This fall, however, when Phillips Brooks House brought the suggestion to Athletic Director Bill Bingham, he and the Undergraduate Athletic Council agreed to give the proposition a trial providing that with every ten children there be a Brooks House monitor. If the experiment this Saturday is a success, the matter will be considered in regard to the less important games next fall. Bingham was a settlement worker with Brooks House, himself, in his undergraduate days.
