Kirkland and Eliot, two leading teams in the indoor baseball competition, continued on their winning ways yesterday afternoon, as the Deacons trounced Winthrop 11 to 3 and Eliot overcame Adams 9 to 6.

With Bernie Marks, star pitcher, on the mound, Kirkland had little trouble in disposing of the Winthrop outfit for their fifth victory.

Eliot, a half game behind the league-leading Deacons, were behind till the last inning when, after two men were out, Frank Cunningham started a seven run rally to win the game. Jack Andrews and Cleve Amory led the Elephants' hitting attack.

The Gold Coasters, out to oust the Elephants from their second place position, led 6-0 during most of the game, after scoring all their runs off Steve Madey, Eliot hurler, in the first inning.
