IN Philosophy A last week the ethereal realm of Philosophy was suddenly brought to earth by a demand of the lecturer that "Somebody wake up that man in the back row!" There was a good deal of shuffling around in seats then, so much, in fact, that not many could hear the reply from the dozer's neighbor: "You wake him up. You put him to sleep!"

If you go into the Boylston Library now and hear repeated long sighs, it is not because the historical reading is so enthralling. It is because yesterday afternoon a new pastime was introduced there.

Three Freshmen occupied the better part of an hour timing themselves by the large clock on the wall to see who could hold his breath the longest. The winner gave his time as 2 minutes 35 seconds.
